Protection Policy of Personal Data included in your resume

The purpose of this Privacy Notice is to inform you of the information we collected from you when you sent us your resume. When collecting this information, Megaplast SA acts as a data controller and according to the law (Reg. 679/2016 EEC ‘GDPR’), it is required to provide you with information about our organization, the way and purpose of use of your data and your rights in relation to them.

Who are we?

We are MEGAPLAST SA, headquartered in the Industrial Area of Heraklion, U/A. You can contact us by email at hr@megaplast.gr.

According to the GDPR, our company is not obliged to appoint a Data Protection Officer. As a result, any of your requests regarding the use of your personal information should be communicated to us in the above email.

What personal data do we collect?

When you send your CV, we collect personal data, including but not limited to: surname, name, age, address, contact number, email, educational background, professional history, photo and any other information about you that you give us.

Why do we collect this information?

We will use this information to assess the possibility of working with us to cover one of the available jobs at MEGAPLAST SA and in the group's operations.

For the above, we ask for your consent and we will continue to evaluate your resume and send it to companies in the group, only if you continue to consent and under the terms discussed below. Our company will not send your information to third parties (i.e. outside of our group) unless requested by the authorities.

Where did we collect your data from?

We collected your data exclusively through the email you sent us to the e-mail hr@megaplast.gr, in the process of recruiting staff to cover one of the available jobs in our company. Our company does not accept another way of receiving resumes.
With your explicit consent, we can seek confirmation of your CV information through recommendations from your previous employers.
When sending your details, you will be required to confirm that you have read and understood the information contained herein and give your explicit consent to the lawful maintenance of your information in our records under the terms described below.

What do we do with your data?

Your data are stored in our company's base and on its premises, they are not sent outside of Greece (except to our foreign affiliates) and are not used for automated decisions that may affect you. Our file is password protected and accessed only by the controller and the head of the staff. For the processing of your data we keep an activity record.

For how long do we keep your data?

Your data are retained in our database and are not deleted for a period of 2 years unless you request them to be deleted earlier.

Your rights

Under applicable law, you may ask us:

  • to let you know about the kind of personal information we hold and give you a copy of the file in electronic or printed form
  • to correct any of your data that is incorrect or has changed or is no longer valid and to add as many new as you can give us.
  • to delete your data. This obligation does not apply in the case that the law requires the processing or provision of the data or is necessary for the exercise of a legal claim.
